At one time yoga was viewed as something that was not for serious athletes or sportspeople. Today barely a week goes by without mention of football clubs, rugby clubs, elite sportspeople from tennis players to golfers using yoga to enhance and support their performance. 

What people have discovered is that yoga builds strength, increases flexibility, develops core strength, aids balance and improves focus and concentration. Being 'in the flow/zone' is a direct spin off of practising the kind of breathwork we use all the time in yoga. 

Whilst helpful for all athletes yoga is especially helpful for one sided sports like golf and tennis as it can help restore balance to the body.
